This legacy dates back to 1936 when Mr. Juan Fernando (the great grandfather of current generation of Fernando family) started the traditional craft of coconut toddy tapping and coconut honey production.

This ancient practice, passed down through generations, is more than just a trade; it is an art form deeply embedded in the agrarian traditions of Ceylon. The process of extracting the sweet nectar of coconut blossoms and refining it into premium coconut toddy and coconut honey has been a cherished skill in the Fernando family for decades. Dankotuwa, the family’s home, is nestled in the heart of Sri Lanka’s coconut triangle, a region famous for its lush coconut plantations and high-yield coconut trees.
